I am a highly experienced chartered town planner with over 12 years professional experience. I’m a practical and creative planner with both policy and development management expertise.
My work has included the successful adoption of statutory planning documents, development briefs and SPDs. From a development management perspective I have a strong track record leading major housing, commercial, retail and education projects.
I have successfully worked in 4 different teams over the past 11 year and have developed strong networks with planning authorities across Lancashire. I am very familiar with the authorities within East Lancashire in particular; Pendle, Ribble Valley, Burnley, Blackburn, Rossendale and Hyndburn. I offer a fresh, independent approach to solving planning issues.
I studied Town Planning at Heriot Watt University, which was then part of Edinburgh College of Art. As part of my degree I completed a 1 year placement year at Ribble Valley,Lancashire and then lived and studied at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands as part of my final year.
I belong to a professional body, the Royal Town Planning Institute which ensures that the best ‘quality assured’ service is delivered.The RTPI is an internationally recognised mark of professional expertise and competence.
I love being a planner, working with people and helping to create new spaces/places whether a small extension or a major housing development. Most all I like to get projects moving and see things happen!
